The emergence of COVID-19 and subsequent major changes to daily life has resulted in a well-documented increase in mental health related morbidity and mortality. According to the Commonwealth Fund, one third of all Americans have experienced an increase in stress, anxiety or sadness during the pandemic. Due to the nature of the pandemic, anxiety has, in some cases, been more difficult to diagnose and it has been more difficult to use some of our standard treatments.
Designed for intermediate-level practitioners, this live, interactive webinar will focus on the ongoing anxieties faced in the workplace during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, new working environments, changes in procedures, isolation from co-workers, and anxiety about contracting illness will be reviewed. Particular emphasis will be placed on clinical interventions for anxiety disorders with specific application to COVID-19 concerns in the workplace.
