Working With Families to Create an Effective Care Team

This one-hour educational program is about the dynamics of family engagement in the care team to provide the optimal approach to dementia care. There is no set of directions on how to do this and there are no guidelines for professional staff on how to “bridge the gap” between professionals and families needing to be a part of the care process. Amy E. Matthews, Dementia Consultant with over 30 years’ experience in the field of dementia care, will present this program that takes participants through process that families go through from consideration of care to placement into a long-term care setting.
