This workshop will focus on the treatment of opioid use disorders. Rates of opioid misuse and overdose deaths continue to increase. We will explore who is most likely to abuse opioids and what factors contribute to opioid use disorders. Access to treatment is challenging and stigmas associated with both opioid use and some treatments make successful outcomes even more difficult. Christopher Owsiany, MA, CCS, CADC

Christopher Owsiany is the Clinical Director of Men’s Phase I in Wernersville, PA. He joined the team at Caron Treatment Centers in 2002, and has worked in several clinical positions with a variety of patient populations. Christopher obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Elizabethtown College and Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Alvernia University. He holds certifications through the Pennsylvania Certification Board as both an Addiction Counselor and a Clinical Supervisor.
