As the pandemic drags on, the demand for mental health services continues to grow, as does the demand for eating disorder treatment. ED providers, themselves feeling the effects of the pandemic, are increasingly having to cope with both unflagging demand and increased client acuity, leading to provider stress, burnout, and fatigue.
In this session we will delve into clinical strategies for dealing with challenging clinical issues such as transference and countertransference, internal biases, and internal activation in response to clients' inability to access proper level of care, symptomol...Read moreogy, acuity, suicidality and co-morbid conditions. We will also discuss ways to incorporate provider self care strategies to promote well-being and effectiveness.
