This presentation will provide an overview of the etiology and treatment of the depressive and anxiety disorders and describe the psychopharmacology and pharmacokinetics of medications. - Discuss the basics of psychopharmacology and pharmacokinetic
- List the etiology, diagnosis and treatment implications of the depressive and anxiety disorders
- Review psychotropic medications used to treat depression and anxiety disorders
- Identify and describe serious adverse effects of these medications
- Cultivate care coordination with nurse practitioners and physicians in regards to medications and therapies
- Demonstrate the relevance of psychotropic medications in clinical practice
