Daniel Doyle, LMFT has been a licensed therapist since 2003. His career as a therapist and trainer is greatly informed by the time he spent in the experimental theatre scene of 1980’s New York and Paris. He is a Certified EMDR Therapist, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and a Registered Drama Therapist. He has served as Clinical Director, Program Manager, Lead Therapist, and Group Facilitator at various treatment centers serving a variety of populations. In his private practice, South Pasadena EMDR, he and his associates provide trauma-focused treatment and are proud to work with clients through Headstrong, an organization that provides cost-free treatment for post 9/11 veterans and their families. He has presented at conferences for the Expressive Therapy Summit, the North American Drama Therapy Association, the San Diego Psychological Association, the Applied Improvisation Network, and as part of Caltech’s Well-Being Series for students. Daniel is Adjunct Faculty at The Institute for Creative Mindfulness (EMDR Therapy foundational training and EMDR/Expressive Arts advanced topics), Pacific Oaks College (MFT Program), and at the SoCal Drama Therapy Center.

Paula Lavocat, LCMHC, LCAS, NCC is a native of the Buffalo, New York area and relocated to the Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina area in 2001. A graduate of The Institute for Creative Mindfulness EMDR Therapy Training Program, Paula is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, as well as a Consultant-in-Training and training facilitator working toward Approved Consultant status under the direction of Dr. Jamie Marich. She holds dual licensure in the State of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. Paula is contracted with a large group private practice and serves as a Clinical Director and Clinician with a diverse caseload. Current clinical experience includes complex trauma/PTSD, attachment, addiction (chemical and behavioral), dual diagnosis, depression, anxiety, adult ADHD, perinatal trauma/maternal mental health, disordered eating, weight concerns, and bariatric surgery. As a former first responder, Paula is proficient with the needs of first responders (police, fire, EMS, 911 communications), as well as military/veterans. Past clinical experience included community mental health and court-ordered environments including substance abuse intensive outpatient and DWI treatment groups, individual outpatient therapy for mental health/substance use disorders, as well as intensive in-home services.

Dr. Anadel Barbour, LMFT

Dr. Anadel Barbour, LMFT holds a Doctorate Degree in Human Sexuality and is a Certified EMDR Therapist in Los Angeles, CA, working as a CIT under Dr. Stephen Dansiger. She has been working with people in recovery for over 15 years, with a heavy focus on trauma, sensitive sex and sexuality issues, and addiction. She utilizes EMDR, Mindfulness, and Narrative techniques to enable clients to choose how they want to proceed in therapy and in their lives.
