Rachel Porter, PsyD, is an eating disorders professional living and working in Durham, NC. Dr. Porter has worked in the eating disorders field for over 15 years, all at higher levels of care. Dr. Porter is currently the Clinical Director over all of Carolina House’s clinical services. Dr. Porter is an anti-stigma advocate, a Health at Every Size provider, and committed to using her many privileges to support and provide compassionate and inclusive care. In her personal time, Dr. Porter enjoys spending time with her husband, friends and cats, reading, and trying to see Hamilton: An American Musical as many times as humanly possible.

Dr. Cass completed her master’s and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Missouri. Specializing in eating disorders while in graduate school, Dr. Cass conducted original research on the impact of pro-anorexia websites and presented findings at national and international eating disorder conferences. Dr. Cass completed her predoctoral psychology internship at the University of Colorado at Boulder, continuing her training and specialization in eating disorders. Dr. Cass has provided evidence-based eating disorder treatment at college campuses, community clinics, and in private practice. While living in New Mexico, Dr. Cass developed the behavioral health component of a bariatric surgery program, seeing the program through accreditation. Since moving to Colorado, Dr. Cass has worked as a psychologist at ACUTE, with accreditation as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Supervisor through iaedp. On the unit, Dr. Cass provides psychodiagnostic assessment, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention to individuals with severe eating disorders while working with a multidisciplinary team. She is active in research and publishing and is the lead developer of the ARFID track at ACUTE, providing tailored, evidence-based treatment to individuals with ARFID.

Dr. Bauschka is a board-certified psychiatrist who works with ACUTE's multidisciplinary treatment team in a consulting role to deliver direct psychiatric care and medication management. She earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals. After completing residency, Dr. Bauschka worked for 2 years as an adult inpatient psychiatrist at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute, which is now known as the Huntsman Mental Health Institute, at the University of Utah. She then joined Eating Recovery Center and Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center in Chicago in 2019, followed by a transition to Denver to work with the ACUTE team starting in January 2021. She has experience treating adults with mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, PTSD, personality disorders and substance use disorders.
Dr. Bauschka is committed to educating the next generation of physicians and has held an Assistant Professor faculty position at Rush Medical College in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (2019-2021), an Adjunct Assistant Professor faculty position in the Department of Psychiatry, Adult Division, at the University of Utah (2019- present) and an Instructor faculty position at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (2021-present).
She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp), and obtained her CEDS (Certified Eating Disorders Specialist) certification through iaedp in 2022.

Rui Tanimura is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Yoga Teacher living in Denver, CO. She is originally from Boston, MA where she earned her Masters Degree in the Treatment of Eating Disorders from Simmons University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh. Rui has worked in all levels of eating disorder care, from inpatient hospitalization to outpatient. Rui’s passion is to advocate for diversity and to promote healing by using her expertise in yoga and nutrition therapy, as well as her unique lived experience.

With lived experience in both bulimia nervosa and BED (binge eating disorder), Makailah “Mak” Dowell recovered while facing many barriers with accessibility to treatment. She recovered with the passion to pursue healthcare equity. She graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelors in Biology and emphasis within microbiology research, and continued her work with EQUIP Health as a lead peer mentor. She is dedicated to highlighting the BIPOC experience in the healthcare community, disability advocacy, and providing affordable & accessible care for all.

Lindsay has her Bachelors of Education in Music Therapy from The University of Kansas and her Masters of Science degree in Family and Couples Therapy from Friends University. Lindsay is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Kansas (LMFT) and a board certified music therapist on the national level. She has a background working in an outpatient and inpatient mental health treatment program and has experience working with mental illness, trauma, addictions, abuse, and eating disorders. She is working towards EMDR and Play Therapy certifications in her current endeavors.
Lindsay has worked with adults, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals in an individual and group setting. She utilizes a variety of treatment modalities with a concentration of experiential therapies and solution focused therapy.
