Lieba Swartz-Brownstein is a white, queer, non-binary, Jewish, HAES aligned therapist. They received their Master’s in Clinical Social Work with a focus on mental health and women's studies from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. After graduation they worked in community mental health supporting young mothers on their journey towards recovery from opioid based addictions. They then went on to join a group practice in Brooklyn specializing in trauma treatment and eating disorder recovery. Lieba now works as a lead clinician for Walden Behavioral Care supporting queer young people in recovery as well as opening the first Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program for Jews in the country. Lieba also runs a private practice in Boston, MA where they support clients in healing their complicated relationships to food, bodies, religion, gender and sexuality. Originally from Portland, Oregon, their favorite place is the beach on a cold day or laughing on the floor at their own jokes in improv class.

Dr. Lampert is the Chief Strategy Officer for Accanto Health, a leading comprehensive eating disorder treatment program with 15 locations in 4 states. Additionally, she is Co-Founder and President of the Residential Eating Disorders Consortium (REDC), Treasurer of the Eating Disorders Coalition (EDC), and past-president and current Board Member of WithAll (formerly The Emily Program Foundation). She holds an adjunct graduate faculty position in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Menzel is the Senior Director of Clinical Training at Equip. Dr. Menzel is a licensed clinical psychologist and prior to joining Equip, was the founder and director of the Pediatric Program at the UCSD Eating Disorders Center. Dr. Menzel received her doctorate from the University of South Florida and completed her pre-doctoral internship and fellowship at UCSD. While at UCSD, Dr. Menzel was an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and provided training and supervision to master's level therapy practicum students, pre-doctoral interns, postdoctoral fellows, and psychiatry residents. In addition to her teaching and research, she has specialized experience delivering Family-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention. She has provided family therapy, individual therapy, and group therapy for eating disorders in all ages and at all levels of care. At Equip, Dr. Menzel develops, provides, and oversees the training for all clinical provider teams.

Chase Bannister, Founder of Veritas Collaborative, is Senior Vice President of Community Engagement for Accanto Health, the parent company of newly merged Veritas Collaborative and The Emily Program. Chase attained his concurrent graduate degrees in Clinical Social Work & Divinity from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School and Duke University. Chase is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is credentialed as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. Chase serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Eating Disorders Coalition for Research, Policy & Action. He is also an active member of the Academy of Eating Disorders and the Eating Disorders Leadership Summit, as well as the REDC Consortium. Chase’s career is marked by achievements in many areas, including federal legislative initiatives, standards-of-care creation, clinical program innovation, healthcare entrepreneurship, professional education, advocacy, and public awareness campaigns. We are ecstatic to have him join us at Accanto Health.

Therapy Director, Equip
Dr. Tana Luo is the Director of Therapy at Equip and a clinical psychologist with a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. She completed her predoctoral and postdoctoral training at the UC San Diego Eating Disorders Center and has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across different levels of care. During her fellowship, she received specialized training in treating pediatric eating disorders.

After sharing her recovery journey from Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) through a personal blog, Kelsey saw the power of sharing her lived experience in order to educate, support, and empower others. She is passionate about increasing access to mental healthcare in the Deaf community, raising awareness about ARFID, and believes mentorship is an essential component of effective eating disorder treatment. Kelsey is an Equip certified Peer Mentor.
