Opioid relapse and overdose deaths are at all time highs. A major challenge of substance use disorders treatment is that many individuals seeking opioid recovery are often separated from their community while in treatment and have to deal cues in their environment which trigger urges to return to the drug post discharge. Some individuals seeking recovery return to communities where there is easy access to drugs, a drug using peer group and family, high unemployment and communities in despair.
