This training will explore the link between intergenerational and current trauma to individuals and communities interfacing with social service systems. Participants will be introduced to the connection between developmental trauma and contemporary challenges African Americans face in the systems. About the speaker

Brandon Jones, MA

Executive Director of the Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health

Brandon is the Executive Director of the Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health & consultant. He specializes in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Historical and Intergenerational trauma, Social/Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Leadership, and Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). Brandon holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota, a Masters in Community Psychology from Metropolitan State University, and a Masters in Psychotherapy (MFT) from Adler Graduate School. Brandon is also a 2013 Bush Foundation Leadership Fellow. He lives by the motto of “Live life with Purpose on Purpose.”
