IARPP Symposium - Working in the Midst of the Covid-19 Crisis: What Can Relational Psychoanalysis Offer?

In early 2020, the Covid-19 crisis struck and our world, arguably already de-stabilized, was jolted even further outside of its familiar orbit. Forced into varying degrees of quarantine, struggles to stay physically and psychologically well, and separated from in-person contact with family members, friends, patients and colleagues, we have each faced varying degrees of loss, hardship, anxiety and for some, trauma. At this point in time, we know all – too - well that our lives and practices have been forever changed. Even in the midst of the pandemic, however, we are still discovering what it means to live and work during this “once in a century” event. Please join us as IARPP hosts its first online, international Symposium. Clinical and theoretical papers, an interview focused on the overlap of treatment and the world at large, as well as small and larger group discussions with panelists and audience members will highlight leading and newer voices from the international relational community. Written versions of most of the presentations will be made available in Spanish and Greek.

A principios de 2020, se produjo la crisis de Covid-19 y nuestro mundo, posiblemente ya desestabilizado, se sacudió aún más fuera de su órbita familiar. Obligados a diversos grados de cuarentena, luchando por mantenerse física y psicológicamente bien, y separados del contacto en persona con familiares, amigos, pacientes y colegas, cada uno de nosotros ha enfrentado diversos grados de pérdida, dificultades, ansiedad y, para algunos, trauma. En este momento, también sabemos muy bien que nuestras vidas y prácticas han cambiado para siempre. Sin embargo, incluso en medio de la pandemia, todavía estamos descubriendo lo que significa vivir y trabajar durante este evento de “una vez en un siglo”. Únase a nosotros ya que la IARPP organiza su primer simposio internacional en línea. Los artículos clínicos y teóricos, una entrevista centrada en la superposición del tratamiento y el mundo en general, así como las discusiones de grupos pequeños y más grandes con panelistas y miembros de la audiencia destacarán las voces líderes y más nuevas de la comunidad relacional internacional.
