American Psychological Association
The Institute for Creative Mindfulness is an approved by American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Institute for Creative Mindfulness maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
EMDR International Association/Advanced Topics Course
The Institute for Creative Mindfulness is an approved provider of continuing education in EMDR Therapy by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) Approval: #10002. The program "Introduction to Expressive Arts Therapy" is approved for 6 EMDRIA credits (#10002-16).
Association of Social Worker Boards
Institute for Creative Mindfulness, #1735, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Institute for Creative Mindfulness maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 03/16/2020 – 03/16/2021. Social workers completing this course receive 21 continuing education credits.
National Board of Certified Counselors
The Institute for Creative Mindfulness is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP no. 6998. The ACEP is solely responsible for this program, including the awarding of NBCC Credits.

Policies

Grievance

The Institute for Creative Mindfulness welcomes feedback and the opportunity to addresses program participant grievances. Grievances, continuing education approvals, refunds, and any other questions or concerns should be directed to Dr. Jamie Marich and the ICM team at support@instituteforcreativemindfulness.com.

Any grievances are discussed at a monthly team meeting of ICM senior leadership, following the receipt of such a request. ICM senior leadership consists of founder and director Jamie Marich, Ph.D., LPCC-S, LICDC-CS, REAT, RYT-200, RMT, senior faculty member  Amber Stiles-Bodnar, M.S.ED., LPCC-S, LCDC-III, senior faculty member and psychologist consultant Stephen Dansiger, PSY.D., LMFT, senior faculty member Suzanne Rutti, MSW, LISW-S, and social work consultant Rachel Weaver MSW, LISW-S, LICDC-CS, DBTC, REAT, RMT. The ICM team will respond to such requests within five business days of coming to a decision regarding that grievance.

Participants also have a right to issue a complaint with any of the continuing education approval sources connected to our trainings if you feel your rights as a learner have been violated or disrespected. These include but are not limited to the the EMDR International Association, the American Psychological Association, the National Board of Certified Counselors, the Association of Social Work Boards, and the Ohio Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists Board We hope we can arrive at a mutually agreeable solution.

Refund

If cancelling prior to two weeks before a scheduled event, trainees are entitled to a full refund less a 5% processing fee OR the option to apply the dollar amount paid towards a future training with the Institute for Creative Mindfulness. If cancelling less than two weeks before a scheduled event, trainees are entitled to a 50% refund, OR the option to apply the dollar amount paid toward a future training with ICM. Only medically documented reasons or family deaths are considered as an exception to this policy. No-shows are not eligible for a refund. In the case of inclement weather, should we cancel the training, your registration would simply be moved to our rescheduled date. If the rescheduled date isn't available for you, we can offer you another date or issue a refund. If you terminate your training or need to leave it early for any reason, you are not eligible for a refund. Attendance at the entire training is required for our program to remain compliant with EMDRIA standards. All other situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
