This workshop will address the spectrum of eating disordered behaviors from a trauma perspective with EMDR therapy. Individuals are rarely born with distorted eating patterns. In 2007 Dr. Forester founded the Advanced Education Institute where she loves to provide interactive clinical trainings to Mental Health professionals in EMDR Therapy, Clinical Supervision, Clinical Treatment of Eating Disorders and more.
Dr. Forester has presented professionally at the AAMFT, EMDRIA, EMDR Canada, and Western Psychological Association (WPA) Conferences. She has two chapters published in EMDR Solutions II, R Shaprio (ed.), W.W. Norton & Company, 2009 and one chapter published in Trauma-Informed Approaches to Eating Disorders, A. Seubert and P. Virdi (ed.) Springer Publishing Company, LLC, 2019.
