Larry Vitulano, PhD, ABPP

Clinical Professor and Clinical Instructor
Dr. Vitulano is a clinical psychologist and clinical professor of psychology at the Yale Child Study Center. He has published in the areas of anger management in Tourette’s disorder, ADHD, behavior therapy, child abuse and neglect, chronic illness, group therapy, hypnosis, juvenile delinquency, obsessive-compulsive disorder, pediatric psychology, sports psychology, trauma and violence, and trichotillomania. He is also involved in the practice of executive coaching internationally. He is a supervisor of many mental health professionals and the Tourette’s/OCD/ADHD clinic at Yale. He has been particularly interested in the effects of sports participation and school failure on child and family development. He is currently investigating the usefulness of mindfulness in the treatment of ADHD. He also maintains a private practice as a clinical psychologist in Fairfield and New Haven, Connecticut.

Michael Vitulano, PhD, is an experienced Life Coach and Clinical Psychologist. While earning his PhD at the University of Tennessee Dr. Vitulano had the pleasure of teaching, training, and supervising both undergraduate and graduate psychology students, who he credits with helping him in his research. In addition to his passionate work with students, working among the best and brightest in his field has helped him identify a holistic approach to psychology that draws upon health, wellness, and the core values and interests of the patient to better their lives.

In his work as a Life Coach, Dr. Vitulano helps his clients set, attain, and sustain their goals by employing his understanding of emotional intelligence, and drawing upon empirical methods such as executive function training. His clients repeatedly cite his approachability, and positive, open minded attitude as some of his biggest strengths.
