Clinical and Sport Psychologist
Savannah Fernandez is a clinical and sport psychologist and holds her doctoral degree from Loyola University Maryland’s PsyD program, and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida State University. Additionally, she accomplished her pre-doctoral internship at Lehigh University’s Counseling and Psychological Services specializing in sports psychology. Dr. Fernandez has worked together with adolescents, adults, and their families as they navigate various types of concerns including depression, anxiety, and eating disorders, since 2016. Dr. Fernandez has long envisioned bringing together her passion for the treatment of eating disorders and sports psychology since entering graduate school, and thus found her home here at McCallum Place’s Victory Program. Dr. Fernandez’s goal in working with others is to help increase self-compassion and self-love as one moves through life’s trials and tribulations. Additionally, she aims to foster self-empowerment, flexibility, and interpersonal connectedness with those around her.

Taylor Larson, RD, CSSD, LD, CEDRD
Registered Dietitian and Sports Dietitian
Taylor is a registered dietitian, board-certified specialist in sports dietetics, Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian, and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Dietetics and has held a personal trainer certification through the American Council on Exercise since 2010. Taylor joined the McCallum Place team in 2014 and works with athletes in the Victory Program in various levels of care, supporting them in aligning their relationships with food and body with their values and long-range goals for wellbeing. Taylor enjoys helping patients better understand the wisdom and complexities of the human body to cultivate self-care, body respect, and flexibility around food and movement. She is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, Weight Inclusive Nutrition and Dietetics, and EDRD Pro.

Director of The Victory Program, Strength and Conditioning Coach
Amanda Schlitzer Tierney is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and holds her Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Lock Haven University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. Amanda is currently the Co-Chair of the Association for Applied Sports Psychology: Eating Disorder Special Interest Group. Amanda has been working with athletes and non-athletes with eating disorders since 2006. Over the years, Amanda gained a wide-range of knowledge for this specialized population and found her true passion: helping individuals incorporate balanced exercise into the recovery environment. Amanda’s goal as a Strength and Conditioning Coach is working with individuals to help identify unhealthy exercise thoughts and behaviors and supporting them in redefining their relationship with fitness. She aims to help her patients find a balance between challenging the body and bringing the fun back to exercise. She encourages listening to one’s body cues and adequate fueling to maintain a healthy body and mind. Amanda’s target reaches beyond the patient and she strives to educate athletes, teams, coaches, parents, athletic trainers, and sport medicine personnel on how work with this specialized population.

Physical Therapist
A Doctor of Physical Therapy since 2008, Dr. Michelle was the thought leader for the Physical Therapy mobility program at the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health. She proudly served the Denver Health and ACUTE patient population until 2019, at which time she was compelled to create her private practice, Movement is Medicine Physical Therapy & Wellness. The year 2022 marks an exciting addition to her work as she joins the amazing team of The Victory Program at McCallum Place as a remote physical therapy consultant.

Dr. Michelle blends her background as a yoga and fitness instructor with her physical therapy skills for rehabilitation and injury prevent to encourage clients to participate in movement and “healthy” reconnection with the body. She has been published in The Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy and was a contributing text editor for Pathology: Implications for The Physical Therapist. She is a member of iaedp, an inconsistent member of the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association), and a member of the Global Pelvic Health Alliance (GPHAM). At the beginning of the COVID-pandemic, she studied to become a Certified Pre and Postnatal Coach (CPPC) through Girls Gone Strong. Recently, she just finished the fourth class in a series of pelvic health education through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and is a pelvic health provider as well!

In her free time, Dr. Michelle enjoys exploring the various programs on the Peloton, has several Colorado 14’er’s in her sights for hiking this summer, and spends the rest of the time chasing around her 2 kids, dog, and husband.
