Sheri Van Dijk, MSW, RSW, is a well-known mental health professional. She has advanced degrees from York University and the University of Toronto and has worked for over 15 years in the mental health field. Her extensive experience with and knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness Practice has inspired her to write a number of books, and she regularly conducts training sessions for fellow professionals in these treatment modalities. Sheri worked at Southlake Regional Health Centre in an outpatient mental health clinic for 14 years, and now works full-time in her private practice
Registered with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, Sheri is also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, and hiking with her dogs Tess and Oliver. Sheri loves to travel and scuba dive and is an avid reader. Some of her favourite authors are Anne Rice, Stephen King, Kelley Armstrong, Patricia Cornwell and Jonathan Kellerman.
