Clean Eating’s Dirty Secret: Orthorexia and CBT
This workshop examines the concept of “clean eating” and how it is portrayed in the popular media. We will also discuss the overlap of clean eating and Orthorexia, an increasingly used term to describe a set of disordered eating beliefs and behaviors. Lastly, we will discuss primary and secondary treatment approaches that can be useful in working with clients for whom clean eating has the potential for creating disordered eating or an eating disorder.
