Brainspotting to Heal Shame, Self-Esteem & Imposter Syndrome

Healing our deepest wounds while enhancing positive self-regard with Brainspotting.

This one-day specialty training will support the clinician in holding attuned space, while learning how to reprogram negative cognitions and self-beliefs with the use of Brainspotting. The impacts of shame, self-esteem, and imposter syndrome will be discussed as to how it can impact the clinician's role and the support offered to clients. This training will teach two expansion frames with demonstration, followed by practicum time to role-play as client and clinician.

Learning Objectives

  • develop your own confidence as a clinician capable of holding attunement and synthesizing the techniques of Brainspotting.
  • integrate reprogramming of negative cognitions and self-beliefs with the use of Brainspotting, while building on positive self-regard.
  • gain knowledge in expansion Brainspotting frames that support breaking down shame, negative cognitions, and negative beliefs.
  • evaluate the use of Truth and Lie and Shame Expansion Brainspotting frames within a live demonstration.
  • Role-play in practicum experiences as a client and therapist to build confidence in use of Brainspotting techniques.
